Redrow launches waste reduction programme

<p><span>Redrow has launched a waste reduction programme which will build upon its commitment to reduce construction waste and determine the future design of its Oxford house type.</span></p> <p><span>Under its new Reduce the Rubble initiative, the housebuilder will analyse the waste created from building a single Redrow home. At three of its schemes – Langley Grange in Yorkshire, Ebbsfleet Green in the south east and The Brooks in Lancashire – Redrow will collate information and data on key materials including bricks, concrete and plastic packaging.</span></p> <p><span>The housebuilder said the project would help it understand what causes the waste it generates. And it would allow Redrow to identify how it can either recycle or reduce the waste during the procurement, design and construction stages.</span></p> <p><span>Redrow will monitor the waste produced during the build of the three homes, storing it until all properties are complete.</span></p> <p><span>The initiative, it said, would build upon its achievements with waste reduction.
