Redrow announces stamp duty holiday awareness weekend

<p>Redrow has announced it is holding a stamp duty holiday event across its active schemes this weekend, allowing potential home buyers the chance to learn more about the changes to stamp duty which were implemented in July.</p> <p>Throughout the weekend, Redrow said that sales consultants would be on hand to explain the temporary changes exempting homes priced up to £500,000 from the tax which would save home buyers up to £15,000 on their purchase.</p> <p>The housebuilder referred to Rightmove research showing the impact of stamp duty relief – nine out of ten people who buy a home before the end of March will pay no stamp duty, according to the analysis.</p> <p>And Redrow’s own research reveals the effects of lockdown on people’s attitudes towards their home. When asked about their current property, 40% of UK adults said that spending more time at home had changed their level of satisfaction with it.
