Redland is supplying around 270,000 Rosemary Clay Classic tiles for a re-roofing project under Hackney Homes' Decent Homes programme of refurbishment. It is providing new roofs for two blocks of flats totalling 4,500 m2. Redland says that its total service package was the main reason for the specification.<br> <br> The project involved like-for-like replacement. The highly visible blocks had previously been roofed with natural clay tiles, so the Rosemary Clay Classic was the obvious product choice, Redland explains.<br> <br> However, Redland does not just supply the tiles and for this project the company wrote the detailed specification (using its SpecMaster service) and project managed the whole installation using weekly site visits to check progress. As the installation is backed by the SpecMaster specification, Hackney Homes has the reassurance of Redland's 15 year SpecMaster guarantee.<br> <br> Redland is working as part of the supply chain for this £5million refurbishment project, co-ordinating with roofing contractor EJ Roofing and contractor Mansell.
