Prowting purchase sees offices close

Prowting offices in Bromsgrove, Swindon and Ruislip are to be closed following the purchase of the company by Westbury. Operations will switch to existing Westbury regions. But Prowting&amp;’s divisions at Bridgwater and Dartford will continue, effectively becoming two additional Westbury regions bringing the total to 10. All current Prowting sites are to be developed as planned.<p></p><p> A team, led by Westbury Homes&amp;’ deputy managing director Colin Cole, has been put in place to ensure the smooth integration of the Prowting business into the Westbury group.</p><p>&amp;“We will continue to research all aspects of our two organisations with a view to ensuring a seamless transition into one totally integrated company,&amp;” he said. &amp;“The aim will be to minimise disruption and clarify the situation as quickly as possible for all interested parties, whether they be employees, customers, suppliers, contractors or shareholders.&amp;” Westbury says that its &amp;£141 million offer for Prowting became unconditional on June 14.</p><p></p>
