Barratt Developments, Britain’s biggest housebuilder, has strengthened its partnership with systems company Duraflex, following the performance of its UK NewBuild approved network of fabricators and installers on sites across the country. <br> <br> According to John Adams, Barratt’s group procurement director, the choice of Duraflex was based on its robust supply chain, industry-leading service levels and capacity to supply and install windows across the UK, together with its long term commitment to the new build housing market. <br> <br> The UK NewBuild team was created specifically to bring together the extrusion and manufacturing expertise of Duraflex with the demands of installation on site. “We work closely with our customers to help them to build trust with the Barratt team at all levels, from group procurement through to site management,” said Nick Kightley, newbuild and commercial manager of UK Window Group (of which Duraflex is part). “As a result, we have been an approved supplier to Barratt with either ‘sole’ or ‘dual’ supply status in a significant number of regions.”<br> <br>
