Planning gain supplement

<p>The HBF will put the industry’s views on the planning gain supplement – a tax on the uplift in land value gained from a planning consent for development to meet the cost of infrastructure – to the select committee on the ODPM on May 16. The HBF has concluded that the PGS “will not work.” John Stewart, HBF director of economic affairs, said it is “one size fits all solution, which tries to do too much.” <br><br><b>NEXT KEY DATE: The select committee began taking oral evidence on April 24; the HBF will give evidence on May 16</b></p>
