Pittsburgh Corning to champion sustainability at Ecobuild

Pittsburgh Corning will be exhibiting at this year’s Ecobuild its range of FOAMGLAS insulation solutions, which all carry the natureplus label. This label recognises building products that have a high level of quality in the areas of health, the environment and functionality which go far beyond current standards and legal regulations. <br> <br> The company says that FOAMGLAS cellular glass insulation is the only insulation in the UK to be awarded with the international natureplus label. It is manufactured from 68% recycled glass, will last the lifetime of the building and can be recycled into new slabs at the end of life. <br> <br> Pittsburgh Corning will be sharing its stand at Ecobuild 2012 with the Alliance of Sustainable Building Products, a cross-sector, not-for-profit organisation promoting sustainable products. Members of the ASBP believe that a material’s sustainability credentials should be assessed by looking at the provenance of a material, how it is installed, its performance in-situ and what happens to the material at the end of its life in order to achieve a well-rounded insight.<br> <br>
