Pasquill cultivates curvy sedum roof solution for housing scheme

The curved, sedum roofs of a terrace of five new houses in Oxford have provided the setting for the smartroof timber panel system, supplied by Pasquill Roof Trusses, the engineered timber roof and floor solutions manufacturer. The project was undertaken for developer Blue Sky Sustainable Developments on behalf of Pasquill customer Jewson, and took only one week to install without the use of a crane.<br> <br> This is the first time that the smartroof system has been used for a curved roofing application, Pasquill says. The complicated nature of the angles and load calculations involved, together with the requirement for curved spandrel panels are testimony to the high calibre of Pasquill’s design and manufacturing services, the company claims.<br> <br> smartroof is a panel system that spans from gable end to gable end, and is designed to take all imposed roofing loads. It is a complete, eco-friendly timber insulated system that creates not only instant room in the roof, but more of it, and helps to meet the requirements of the Code for Sustainable Homes, Pasquill says.
