<b></b>Changes to Building Regulations Parts H (Drainage), J (Boilers and Flues) &amp;&amp; L (Energy Efficiency) will come into force on April 1 2002. The changes have been posted on HMSO&amp;’s website (www.hmso.gov.uk). The new regulations will apply to all new homes built on or after this date, except for any houses or flats that have already started on site by that date or any that have received prior (unconditional) approval from building control. An explanatory circular is due to be published imminently on DTLR&amp;’s website along with the Approved Documents for Parts H, J, &amp;&amp; L.<br>Changes to Part E (sound insulation) are expected to come into force later in the year.<p></p><p></p>
