Parking nightmare on PPG3 developments

PPG3-friendly developments are different, well designed and community friendly, but car parking is huge drawback. These are the findings of groundbreaking new research into the views of 244 homeowners living on PPG3-compliant developments. The comprehensive Living with PPG3 survey by In-house Research found that 40% of homebuyers would not buy a similar home next time, but rather one with more space for them and their cars. “We were encouraged, excited even by the way that customers described their homes and developments. They used words that we not have normally associated with new build such as ‘different’, ‘variety’ and ‘design’," said researcher Malcolm Pitcher. “On the negative side the parking issue dominates many conversations.” The results were presented at a conference in association with Housebuilder on 23 September.
