Norbord spotlights Sterling OSB

Sterling will take pride of place on the Norbord stand (stand S1031) at this year's Ecobuild show. The versatility of the product will be demonstrated with new roofing and flooring applications explained. Norbord will also be introducing a range of solutions which meet UKTFA (UK Timber Frame Association) fire-rating requirements for timber frame buildings. Samples and "in use" models will be available.<br> <br> Made entirely from home grown wood from sustainably managed forests, Norbord claims that Sterling OSB outsells all other brands of OSB in the UK where it is used for a multitude of applications, from basement formwork to roof boarding.<br> <br> Sterling OSB uses only timber from immature trees thinned from Scottish softwood forests. The raw material travels a short distance to Norbord's Inverness factory where it is processed using heat energy generated by the plant's own biomass boiler.<br> <br> Sterling OSB is made in a variety of thicknesses and offers a high performing, low cost alternative to plywood in many applications, Norbord says.<br> <br> www.norbord.co.uk
