NHBC submits application for second Training Hub

<p><span>NHBC has submitted a planning application for its second training hub which will aid the training and development of the next generation of housebuilders in the North East.</span></p><p><span>NHBC’s Training Hub, due to be built in Scotswood, Newcastle, is in partnership with Keepmoat Homes, New Tyne West Development Company (NTWDC), Newcastle City Council, North of Tyne Combined Authority and Homes England. </span><br/></p><p><span>It will be located at Keepmoat’s scheme, The Rise, a £265 million, 1,800 home regeneration initiative which is being delivered by NTWDC, a public-private partnership between Newcastle City Council and Keepmoat Homes.</span><br/></p><p><span>The training facility will welcome more than 100 apprentices per year, initially focusing on bricklaying. At the hub, apprentices will be immersed in a realistic working environment next to the regeneration development in Scotswood.</span><br/></p><p><span>NHBC, which became a registered apprenticeship provider in 2020, launched its first hub in Tamworth in spring 2021.
