NHBC reaffirms commitment to Armed Forces Covenant

<p>NHBC has reaffirmed its commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant.</p> <p><span>The covenant, which the new homes warranty and insurance provider first signed seven years ago, is a pledge which acknowledges that those who serve or have served in the armed forces and their families should be treated with fairness and respect in the community, economy and society.</span></p><p></p> <p><span>NHBC’s reaffirmation of support “reflects the company’s staunch commitment to the armed forces community,” the organisation said. It has more than 30 former service personnel working within the business; it said it was proud to have created an inclusive working environment that values diversity “and strives to give people the freedom to be themselves”.</span></p><p></p> <p><span>Lieutenant Colonel Simon Wilkinson oversaw the signing ceremony at NHBC House in Knowhill, Milton Keynes, thanking NHBC for its ongoing dedication to an important cause.</span><span> NHBC’s ceo Steve Wood led proceedings. </span></p><p><span></span></p><p></p> <p><span>Wood </span><span>said: “We are always pleased to welcome former armed forces personnel to NHBC. As a modern, progressive employer, we recognise the value of the Armed Forces Covenant and the impact it makes on those who have served their country and I am proud to reaffirm NHBC’s support.”</span></p><p></p>
