NHBC appoints new consumer committee chairman

Home warranty provider NHBC has appointed Sir Graham Hart as chairman of its consumer committee, which focuses on consumer concerns. Sir Graham, who has been a non-executive director of the home warranty provider since 2003, was previously permanent secretary of the Department of Health and is chairman of Citizens Advice and a member of the Audit Commission. “I am greatly looking forward to chairing NHBC's Consumer Committee. NHBC has a clear vision and long term goals to raise the standard of new home construction for the benefit of new homebuyers,” he said. “This is the objective which the Consumer Committee will focus on as it directs a programme of consumer research, monitoring home buyers' satisfaction with their builders, their new homes and NHBC itself." Sir Graham succeeds Christopher Roberts.
