Mike Quinton is the new chief executive of NHBC.<br> <br> Quinton, who will take up the role on October 15, has extensive experience of the insurance sector having held senior management positions at some of the UK's top insurance providers, including Prudential, Churchill, RBS and Zurich Financial Services.<br> <br> Throughout his career, Quinton has had a particular focus on consumer-facing products and services, starting out at Prudential General Insurance where he was financial director and then managing director from 2000. In 2003 he was appointed managing director of Churchill Insurance, where he successfully developed the business and enhanced recognition of the brand. During two years as a managing director at Zurich Financial Services, he oversaw the launch of the Zurich Connect brand and helped establish the Direct Insurance business in five countries. <br> <br> Isabel Hudson, executive chairman of NHBC, who will resume her role as chairman, said:<br> <br> "We are extremely pleased to have appointed Mike as the new NHBC chief executive.
