New Towns Taskforce chair Sir Michael Lyons has joined the line-up of speakers at the HBF Policy Conference in London next month.
With the government last week confirming that the Taskforce had received more than 100 proposals for its New Towns programme, Sir Michael will update delegates on how the Taskforce will take these proposals forward and help to deliver the New Towns.
Also joining the line-up will be Mark Farmer, co-founder of construction consultant Cast, who will provide his expert opinion on innovation and change across the industry. He will also discuss the findings of his recent ITB review which examined the Construction and Engineering Construction Industry Training Boards and called for a fundamental reset of the ITB model.
The two will join a line-up that also includes Homes England interim chief executive Eamonn Boylan who will look at the organisation’s vital role in working with the industry to help deliver the government’s target of 1.5 million new homes.
Government chief planner Joanna Averley will also speak just three months after the publication of the new National Planning Policy Framework. Other speakers include Lloyds Banking Group head of housing development & sustainability Andy Dean, New Homes …
