The latest product from renewable energy company NIBE Energy Systems Ltd, is the FP215 Premium Thermal Collector, a collector that combines lightweight and simple installation with a very high solar absorption rating. This new collector is equally suited for in-roof or on-roof placement and is ideal in high and low Iow systems for hot water heating support and integrated energy processing systems, NIBE says. <br> <br> The NIBE FP215 has an unusually low empty weight of only 32.5 kilos. This has been achieved through an insulation solution combining a high temperature resistant PIR-Plate with rock wool, yielding a system only 40mm thick instead of the 57mm demanded by rock wool alone and resulting in a Iat collector with an overall height of only 81mm. It has a serpentine, laser welded selective coating absorber in PVD that grants an excellent solar absorption rate, NIBE claims.<br> <br>
