New residential MVHR units expand Airflow market prospects

Airflow has continued to expand its mechanical ventilation with heat recovery range with the addition of a new range of basic MVHR models suited to the residential housing market, the company says.

The Duplexvent BV300 / BC300 is the smallest of the new units, fitting neatly in a standard 600mm wide cupboard. The MVHR unit can be installed either vertically (BV) or horizontally (BC) as long as there is an additional condensate kit. This neat size also makes installation and servicing easier, Knauf says, as one installer can fit the unit and maintain easy access to the G3 supply and extract air filters.

Moving up to larger residential properties, Knauf explains that the Duplexvent BV400 offers many of the same benefits as the BV units but with some additional elements specifically for larger properties, including an SFP of 0.45W/l/s and a thermal efficiency of 93%. Additional flexibility is found in the placement of the spigots at either the top or the bottom of the unit, and the system can also be used in either a right or left hand configuration, Airflow says.

www.airflow.com
