New information centre will promote benefits of Hackney estate regeneration

Berkeley Group md Tony Pidgley (left) along with Hackney mayor Jules Pipe (middle) and deputy mayor Jamie Carswell have opened a community information centre as part of a regeneration programme for the rundown Woodberry Down estate. Provided in partnership with the local regeneration team, Hackney Homes, Hackney council, Berkeley Homes and RSL Circle Anglia, the centre provides models of the plans for the estate, giving residents the opportunity to discuss the scheme with the developers. Local residents are also offered roadshows and personal visits, aimed at ensuring they are on board with the £1 billion project.
