New industry group to review Code for Sustainable Homes

<p>A new Housing Standards Review group has been established which aims look into existing standards including the Code for Sustainable Homes and rationalise them into a simple shorter document. The group will meet for the first time in late October and will include housebuilding professionals including HBF and the deputy chairman of BRAC. The group's review will go to consultation early next year and be published next Spring. Speaking at the HBF Technical Conference on October 18, Anthony Burd of DCLG said the group's work will be accompanied by a wider review of the whole issue of building regulations which could lead to "significant rationalisation". </p><p> </p> <p></p> <p> </p>
