New HCA ceo focuses on housebuilders

Andy Rose, the new ceo of the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA), has said that he will work closely with housebuilders to deliver new homes against a backdrop of financial constraints.<br> <br> Rose, who began his role as the head of the HCA on April 15, set out three priorities for his leadership over the next six months. As well as ensuring that HCA's "track record of delivery" continues, he said that he wished to "get out and about" regionally to meet stakeholdersincluding communities – and see local levels of activity. He also wants to work with housebuilders in HCA's conversations with capital providers.<br> <br> Speaking of his extensive background in both the public and private sector, Rose said: "I have a strong perspective of what motivates both sectors. We now live in a world where money is less available. That interface between the private and public sector will be very important."<br> <br> The new ceo said that the greatest challenge over the coming months would be to meet "aggressive targets".<br> <br> He added: "The government has made some interesting announcements, including on the Build to Rent Fund.
