New "easy-load" bracket

A brand new ladder-mounted lifting bracket, designed to prevent injuries to plasterers caused by carrying heavy plasterboard sheets up narrow stairwells, has been launched specifically to address safety concerns voiced by industry professionals. <br> <br> Where plasterboard cannot be raised mechanically, the new "Easy-Load" bracket – being pioneered by safety equipment specialist Safety Platforms Ltd – substantially reduces the risk of musculo-skeletal injuries. It also helps prevent accidents which can occur when stairwell edge protection is removed for easier access in confined stairways. <br> <br> To operate the "Easy-Load" system, an opening is cut through the floor of the upper level. With a standard ladder positioned through the hole, the new bracket is fitted to the ladder and can support up to five 36kg sheets. <br> <br> The operatives can then walk to the upper floor of the building and simply raise the plasterboard sheets through the opening in the floor to stack them ready for use.<br> <br>
