Mortgage focus at HMI conference

The speaker line up has been announced for this year's Housing Market Intelligence (HMI) conference and Report launch in October – the leading event for the private sector housebuilding industry.<br> <br> Three leading housebuilder chief executives will speak at the conference – Taylor Wimpey's Pete Redfern, Richard Werth of Banner Homes and McCarthy &amp; Stone's Howard Phillips.<br> <br> With the mortgage market vital to the wellbeing of the sector, Lloyds Bank mortgage director Stephen Noakes and the chief economist of the Council of Mortgage Lenders Bob Pannell will give their views on the situation.<br> <br> Also speaking will be the new chief executive of the Construction Products Association Dr Diana Montgomery; Richard Donnell of Hometrack; and Anthony Codling, managing director of investment bank Jefferies International.<br> <br> HBF speakers will include executive chairman Stewart Baseley, planning director Andrew Whitaker and director of economic affairs John Stewart.<br> <br> The conference on October 3 will see the launch of the annual Housing Market Intelligence Report which includes the Top 75 housebuilders listing.<br> <br> marketing awards<br> <br> Entries are now open for the Construction Marketing Awards, organised by the Chartered Institute of Marketing Construction Industry Group (CIMCIG).
