MMC drives Hayfield’s performance

<p><span>Hayfield is set to hit its full-year turnover target of £150 million, with the business having sold 90% of its 350-homes target for 2022 at its half year, it said today (July 28).</span></p> <p><span>The housebuilder, which mainly builds in middle England with its half year running to June 30 2022, said it was on track with its homes target thanks to “significantly” investing in modern methods of construction (MMC) earlier this year. It said the application of MMC “was </span><span>accelerating Hayfield’s build timeframes, delivering greater programme and cost certainty, while alleviating the risks of material and labour shortages”.</span></p><p></p> <p><span>Hayfield also said it </span><span>had been capitalising on “strong demand for greener, larger family homes”. According to its own data, demand is continuing to be driven by London buyers seeking larger family properties outside the M25 and people wanting “eco-friendly” homes.</span></p> <p><span>On the latter point, Hayfield stated that its homes were zero carbon “ready”, featuring innovative solutions as standard including air source heat pumps, boosted insulation, water efficiency measures and electric vehicle charge points.</span></p> <p><span>In its current calendar, Hayfield has 40 plots remaining, with 330 plots secured for 2023.
