MK Electric - manufacturer of wiring devices and accessories – has complemented the launch of its Masterseal Plus range of IP rated products with the MK Shield range, developed for light domestic use. The company says it is the “ideal solution” for both outdoor and indoor environments, where a good degree of ingress protection is required, but not to the high specification of IP66 rated products.<br> <br> Tested well in excess of British Standards, the MK Shield range of plugs and sockets is rated to IP56, where it offers complete protection against contact and, although ingress of dust is not entirely prevented, it is at such a reduced level it does not interfere with the satisfactory operation of equipment.<br> <br> Similarly, water projected in powerful jets against the enclosure from any direction will not have any harmful effects. Available in grey, white or with a clear cover, MK Shield is suitable for domestic and commercial applications. Its products are guaranteed for ten years.<br> <br>
