Housing secretary Michael Gove is to address the industry at this year’s HBF Policy Conference in London on Wednesday April 24th.
With 2024 almost certainly set to be an election year and housing high on the political agenda, Gove’s thoughts on planning and new homes supply will be of great interest to the industry. Gove joins a strong line up at the conference, which also includes economist Kate Barker who will reflect on 20 years since her seminal Barker Report on Housing Supply.
Lucian Cook and Emily Williams of Savills will look at the market in 2024, while Alex Rose, director of new homes at Houseful (part of Zoopla) will share some of his organisation’s comprehensive data and information on the sector. HBF executive chairman Stewart Baseley will provide his overview of the range of challenges and opportunities facing the industry.
Lloyds Bank managing director of intermediaries Esther Dijkstra will talk mortgages and finance, and Emma Toms, interim ceo of the New Homes Quality Board, will discuss the work of the new home ombudsman and quality agenda.
Matthew Pratt, ceo of Redrow and co-chair of the Future Homes Standard (FHS) implementation board, will join a panel discussion …
