<p><span>McCarthy &amp; Stone has appointed Nigel Turner and Mike Lloyd as dual chief operating officers. </span></p> <p><span>Both will join the board on January 1 2019, helping to deliver the retirement housebuilder’s new strategy which it announced in September.</span></p> <p><span>Turner will be chief operating officer in charge of the group’s building operations. He was formerly executive director at Kier Group where he headed the property and development services division with operational responsibility for a team of more than 7,000 people.</span></p> <p><span>He will undertake McStone’s intention of driving down build costs and execute the new strategy to achieve more standardised and efficient designs.</span></p> <p><span>Lloyd will be chief operating officer responsible for the group’s customer-facing services. He was previously chief executive of The AA’s regulated business and chief commercial officer.</span></p> <p><span>He will lead the group’s management services operations, as well as sales, marketing and resales, and will push strategic opportunities including increasing customer appeal through offering a wider choice of tenure options.</span></p> <p><span>McStone’s ceo John Tonkiss, said: “We are delighted to announce these two senior appointments to the board.
