Margaret Beckett pledges “constructive and honest relationship” in HMI speech

Housing minister Margaret Beckett has pledged her “absolute commitment” to working closely with the industry to steer through the difficulties of the current market. In her first speech as housing minister, delivered to Housebuilder’s Housing Market Intelligence conference, Beckett stressed a willingness to listen, a commitment to support the industry and the first hints of new measures to help housebuilders in the current climate.<br><br>She acknowledged the difficult issues facing the Housing minister Margaret Beckett has pledged her “absolute commitment” to working closely with the industry to steer through the difficulties of the current market.
