Manthorpe's loft door sets new standards for airtightness

Oct. 1, 2013
Manthorpe, the Derbyshire based manufacturer of plastic building products, has launched a new loft door to replace its GL250-03.

The company says that the new GL250 has many features that improve the ease of installation and the product’s insulation values. It claims that in tests conducted by the BRE (Building Research Establishment) the new door outperformed all major competitor doors that were tested and was the only door to meet and exceed the requirements of British standards and current Building Regulations. There is virtually no air leakage at all, Manthorpe says. All variants of the GL250 are fully insulated and available with a range of insulation levels including the GL250-015 which provides an insulation level of 0.15.

The new GL250 is now available through all good builders merchants and distributors.
