<p>Scottish housebuilder Mactaggart and Mickel has appointed Joanne Casey as its first managing director for its expanding Homes England division. </p><p><span>Casey, who is a board director at the company in Scotland, will manage all new and ongoing schemes across England and be based mainly at Mactaggart and Mickel’s new Cheltenham office. </span><br/></p><p><span>Offering more than 30 years’ insight and experience in senior housing roles, Casey will retain her Scotland role, overseeing all sales, marketing and architectural functions to steer the delivery of schemes across the country. She also remains a member of the Institute of Directors, Chair of Homes for Scotland’s Customer Relations Group, and Chair of Business Beats Cancer (Glasgow) for Cancer Research UK. </span><br/></p><p><span>The new md has also been instrumental in Mactaggart and Mickel’s recent rebrand, which, the company said, reflects four generations of housebuilding heritage, the organisation’s “personable and honest approach, its commitment to five-star excellence and passion for innovation”. The rebranding includes a new emblem.</span><br/></p><p><span>As part of its expansion into England - where it will introduce its “vast experience of luxury housebuilding” - the firm has two developments underway at Milton-under-Wychwood and East Challow in Oxfordshire.
