Lucy Frazer is new housing minister

Lucy Frazer has been appointed housing minister, replacing Lee Rowley who moves to take up the local government and building safety brief. Frazer is the fifth person to hold the role in 2022 following Christopher Pincher, Stuart Andrew, Marcus Jones and Rowley.

The south east Cambridgeshire MP was previously transport minister from September 7 to October 26 and financial secretary to the Treasury for a year until September 2022. A former barrister, she was a justice minister in the Boris Johnson government and had two spells as solicitor general in 2019 and 2021.
