Localism Bill to be published on December 13

<p>The government is set to publish its Localism Bill on Monday (December 13), providing guidance to housebuilders and local authorities as to how the new planning system will work.</p> <p>The long awaited Bill is intended to give people more power and the government believes this will lead to more new homes being built, incentivised by the New Homes Bonus.</p> <p>The Home Builders Federation has welcomed the imminent publication of the Bill: "The localism proposals provide a real chance for people to develop their communities for the better and housebuilders will work with them to build the homes communities and families want," said HBF chairman Stewart Baseley. "More homes will mean more money for local facilities and will enable young people to live in the communities where they grew up."</p>
