Lisa Nandy becomes shadow levelling up secretary

<p>Lisa Nandy has become shadow levelling up secretary following a reshuffle of Labour leader Keir Starmer’s cabinet.</p> <p><span>Nandy will shadow Michael Gove in his position, created in September when the Conservative leader Boris Johnson undertook a reshuffle and the housing department was retitled. Nandy was previously shadow foreign secretary and has held posts including shadow secretary for energy and climate change, and shadow minister (cabinet office). She became an MP in 2010.</span></p><p></p> <p><span>She replaces former shadow housing secretary </span><span>Lucy Powell </span><span>who has moved to the role of shadow </span><span>culture secretary.</span></p><p></p> <p>Other moves in the Labour cabinet include Yvette Cooper to shadow home secretary, a role she has reprised after serving in the post from 2011 to 2015. She was housing minister from 2005 to 2008.</p><p></p>
