<p><span>Lagan Homes has acquired Cawrey Homes, in “an exciting new chapter” for the business.</span></p> <p><span>The England branch of Lagan Homes Group – which also operates in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland – has bought Cawrey Homes, a housebuilder in existence for more than 60 years and based in Leicestershire. Lagan said that Cawrey had developed more than 1,000 homes and the acquisition meant Lagan had inherited a range of assets, including several residential sites, commercial assets and strategic land.</span></p> <p><span>Lagan Homes Group also has interests in strategic land, holding a “significant” landbank of its own. For nearly 40 years it has built “well designed homes to the highest standards”.</span></p> <p><span>It also said that the union of the two family-owned businesses was a “perfect pairing of cultures”, with Lagan’s principles based on traditional values and a commitment to creating sustainable communities “for generations to enjoy”.</span></p> <p><span>Cawrey Homes will become part of the Lagan Homes England brand. The first former Cawrey site of 90 units in Ratby is scheduled to start construction in January.
