Kier Living and Inland continue solid performances

<p>Kier Living and Inland Homes have continued to perform well in a supportive market.</p><p><span>Reporting on its year end results to June 30 2018, Kier Group said that its “solid” performance had been driven by a “consistent performance” from its private housebuilding arm within Kier Living.</span><br/></p><p><span>During the year, the private homes portion of Kier Living generated a revenue of £175 million (2017: £174 million) against the division’s total revenue of £374 million. The division offers both private homes and mixed tenure affordable housing.</span><br/></p><p><span>With demand for new housing remaining “high”, Kier Living completed 749 private units, roughly in line with 2017’s 748, with an average of 0.7 units sold per week per trading site.</span><br/></p><p><span>“With an average house price of c £240,000 Kier Living is providing housing solutions for many buyers, with the Help to Buy scheme assisting c.50% of all its sales,” the division said.</span><br/></p><p><span>Announcing its preliminary results for the year ending June 30 2018, Inland Homes said that during the period it completed on 275 open market completions, an increase of 46% on the equivalent period in 2017.
