Architectural aluminium systems supplier Kawneer has further enhanced its AA540 window range, which combines value for money with a BRE Green Guide A-rated frame with side-hung and bottom-hung variants of its tilturn system.<br> <br> The new AA543 sidehung and bottom-hung open-in variants join the original AA543 tilturn (tilt for ventilation and turn for cleaning) and an AA541 casement and AA542 pivot window to make the range even more flexible for projects where cost is a key driver, Kawneer says.<br> <br> The range suites with Kawneer's AA100 and AA110 curtain walling, 451PT framing and door systems to give specifiers and architects flexibility for new build and refurbishment projects in the education, healthcare, commercial, retail and residential sectors, particularly in high-rise applications.<br> <br> The new side-hung and bottom-hung open-in variants use the same multi-chamber thermal break core as their older sister. This ensures thermal efficiency (U-values down to 1.5) and full compliance with Document L, while optional trickle ventilation also helps meet the requirements of Document F.
