JKC delivers quick and efficient treatment on new flats development

Treatment specialist Japanese Knotweed Control has been praised for its professionalism and expertise after completing treatment work for Willmott Dixon on a new property development in North London.<br> <br> Construction work at Waites House in West Hampstead involves the demolition of existing flats and the building of a new four-storey block of 55 flats comprising a mixture of social, rented and shared ownership properties.<br> <br> A pre-construction survey had identified the growth of Japanese Knotweed in a corner of the site on a boundary with neighbouring land, and Willmott Dixon appointed one of its approved sub-contractors, Japanese Knotweed Control, to carry out the treatment.<br> <br> Working to a very tight timescale, Japanese Knotweed Control excavated the knotweed and removed the contaminated material to a licensed landfill, thoroughly checking that no rhizome remained. A vertical root barrier was then installed at the boundary wall to prevent re-infestation of the client's land from a viable infestation on neighbouring land.
