JJI-Joists go to France

James Jones Timber Systems is now distributing JJI-Joists through French engineered timber company France Poutres.<br> <br> France Poutres is a family run business, which manufactures all-timber I-joists and is now also supplying JJI-Joists as a cost effective alternative for floors, walls and roofs, James Jones says.<br> <br> Mark Tilston, business development manager for Timber Systems says:<br> <br> "Over 2012 and 2013 we have seen significant developments in the use of JJIs for roofs and floors in France. But more innovatively, the industry in France is also using JJIs externally, to help meet current thermal regulations."<br> <br> By using JJIs as cladding around concrete buildings, specifiers can add extra insulation simply and cost effectively, so that thermal regulations can be met, James Jones claims. The company says that flexibility is the key, adding that its ETA (European Technical Approval) allows it to produce CE marked JJI-Joists to match the customer’s precise depths for integration into their building systems.<br> <br> <a href="http://www.jji-joists.co.uk">www.jji-joists.co.uk</a>
