The Minus 7 Energy Harvesting System is a renewable energy system that harvests both endothermic and solar energy. It provides hot water and heating for homes and is suitable for new build or deep refurbishments.

It is comprised of an endothermic roofing system, a solar energy processor and a large thermal store. It is designed to keep a five bedroom house at a comfortable temperature of at least 21°C even in the worst case scenario of mid-winter, Minus 7 says. However the system is capable of servicing up to three dwellings at once making it highly suitable for housing associations, it claims.

Minus 7 is UK manufactured. The roofing component is expected to last for in excess of 50 years and the solar energy processor will last in excess of 20 years, Minus 7 says. All components are fully recyclable at end-of-life. Minus adds that the system delivers very low running costs and carbon emissions of less than 180g of carbon per kW of heat delivered.

www.minus7.co.uk
