Industry enjoys five star customer rating

More than nine out of ten consumers are happy with the quality of their new homes according to the industry's latest new home customer satisfaction survey.<br> <br> The survey, carried out by the Home Builders Federation and NHBC, shows that customer satisfaction levels have climbed annually once more to a level that HBF says "matches or exceeds those in almost any other industry or sector".<br> <br> The survey, which is in its eighth year and is independently verified, examined the views of new home buyers buying from 21 housebuilders during the October 2011 to September 2012 period. Of 53,270 questionnaires sent out, there were 29,330 respondents. And of these 91% were very or fairly satisfied with the quality of their new home. The same percentage of respondents would recommend their builder to a friend.<br> <br> "It is essential that we achieve these high satisfaction levels when providing a product that represents most people's largest investment, both financially and emotionally," said HBF's executive chairman Stewart Baseley. "But creating a great home is not straightforward.
