ilke Homes in Network Rail partnership

<p><span>Modular home developer ilke Homes has partnered with Network Rail to deliver homes on a 2.2 acre brownfield site next to Beeston station in Nottingham.</span><span></span></p> <p><span>The scheme of 40 sustainable modular homes – subject to planning permission - will be supported with government funding after ilke Homes secured £30 million from Homes England to increase its factory capacity, in a government drive to boost the use of modern methods of construction.</span><span></span></p> <p><span>ilke also explained that the partnership was part of Network Rail’s strategy to release land for housing “to drive economic growth and help communities to thrive,” while generating funds for rail improvements. </span><span></span></p> <p><span>Beeston station offers direct transport links into Nottingham city centre.</span><span></span></p> <p><span>Tom Heathcote, ilke Homes’ executive director, development, said: “We are proud to partner with Network Rail to create a sustainable development of much needed family homes for a growing community. </span><span></span></p> <p><span>“Modular homes represent the future of housing and we believe this residential development will be a shining example of what they can deliver for home owners, communities and the UK economy.” </span><span></span></p> <p><span>David Biggs, md of Network Rail Property, added: “By joining forces with ilke Homes on the redevelopment of this brownfield site, we are …
