Ilke Homes enters administration

<p><span>ilke Homes has entered into administration, with all site activities to cease, it said today (June 30).</span><br/></p> <p><span>AlixPartners’ Clare Kennedy, Catherine Williamson and Deborah King have been appointed as joint administrators to ilke’s companies – ilke Homes Holdings, ilke Homes Land and ilke Homes – which all collectively trade as ilke Homes.</span></p> <p><span>In a statement, modular housebuilder ilke said the companies’ directors had requested the appointments following “extensive” attempts to either secure a fresh capital injection or a going concern buyer. Earlier this week, a spokesperson said the firm had been in talks with a number of investors and was “positive” about securing its future and that of its workforce.</span></p> <p><span>Today, the business stated that “despite a strong product and pipeline”, it had been unable to find the further investment needed to continue. It said it had, after “significant” incremental investment,</span><span> been able to </span><span>return to growth since the pandemic but had been affected by “unprecedented inflation” and the planning process constricting land supply.</span></p> <p><span>It will now “regrettably” close its manufacturing facility in Knaresborough, North Yorkshire, with most of ilke’s 1,150 staff to be mad redundant.
