Hydrock brings cost savings at the reM20 Soil Treatment Hub

Hydrock is helping to kickstart brownfield site activity by reducing site remediation and soil disposal costs. It is also opening a development-led Soil Treatment Hub, a UK first, by deploying environmental permits at the site of a large phased housing and flood alleviation scheme in Kent. By establishing its reM20 branded facility as part of the proposed development plan, the treatment centre forms the central hub of an Environment Agency approved “hub and cluster” soil treatment centre with no landfill tax applicable. It ensures 100% reuse of soils which would otherwise be disposed of at a landfill. <br> <br> The facility can treat soils impacted with a wide range of industrial contaminants including petrol, diesel, lubricating and cutting oils and heavy metals.<br> <br>
