Housing secretary James Brokenshire is to address the industry at this year’s HBF Policy Conference which will be held in London on Tuesday March 26.
With the government pushing the industry hard to deliver 300,000 new homes a year, Brokenshire is set to underline the government’s commitment to tackling the housing issues of the UK.
Shadow housing secretary John Healey will give the Labour party view too, following Labour’s housing green paper publication last year.
The conference, chaired by Natalie Elphicke, ceo of The Housing and Finance Insitute, will be held just three days ahead of the Brexit deadline and Savills head of residential research Lucian Cook and London School of Economics professor of housing Christine Whitehead will try to make sense of the housing market post-Brexit.
HBF speakers Stewart Baseley and Andrew Whitaker will add their insight at this important time, while McCarthy & Stone ceo John Tonkiss and L&Q boss David Montague will give the view from their side of the industry. Mark Farmer of Cast will talk skills while an expert panel will discuss the future face of the housebuilding industry.
