Housing Design Awards 2004 shortlist announced

Sixty developments - including those by firms such as Copthorn, Bellway, Linden, Barratt and David Wilson - have been shortlisted for the government-backed 2004 Housing Design Awards. This year's winners will be announced on September 7 at Housebuilding 2004, the UK's first dedicated event for the industry. This will take place at the Business Design Centre in islington, London. Thirty developments have been shortlisted as completed schemes, 30 as project awards. The revamped HDAs now also have three special awards: the best scheme by a major housebuilder, best by a small to medium sized housebuilder and the best affordable scheme.
