Housebuilder has launched a new awards scheme to recognise developers delivering excellence and boosting the quality and image of the industry. The Housebuilding Innovation Awards are being run in conjunction with the House Builders Federation. Awards will be given in areas such as customer care, materials innovation, the environment, training, technology, community consultation and partnerships with the public sector, commercial developers and designers. Government has supported the initiatives; housing minister Keith Hill said: “These Awards aim to recognise housebuilders who are meeting high standards and I support the initiative.” The event will be at The Savoy on the night of Wedenesday September 7, presented former BBC political correspondent John Sergeant.
