The shortlist for the ten categories of the 2012 Housebuilder Awards has been announced, with Taylor Wimpey and Linden leading the way for nominations.<br> <br> These two are shortlisted in half of the categories, with Taylor Wimpey also involved with one of the shortlisters in the Best product category, Prestoplan.<br> <br> Both firms are nominated in the Best regeneration, Best marketing, Best design of three storeys or fewer and Best community initiative sections. Additionally Taylor Wimpey is up for Sustainable housebuilder of the year and Linden for Best design of four storeys or more.<br> <br> Barratt makes a strong showing as ever, appearing in four categories with its subsidiary David Wilson Homes getting two nods.<br> <br> Churchill Retirement Living has three shortlisted entries including one in the new category of Best retirement scheme where the firm is joined by, among others, McCarthy &amp; Stone.<br> <br> PRP Architects is also shortlisted three times, in both design categories and Best retirement scheme.<br> <br> The winners will be announced at The Tower Hotel in London on the evening of Thursday November 8.
