Vistry was crowned Large housebuilder of the year at The Housebuilder Awards 2021 last night as the industry came together to celebrate the best in the UK new homes sector.
Vistry was praised for showing “real intent across the board”, with five finalist entries including a win in the Housebuilder Star category for Sue Scholfield whose “calm manner and motivated leadership" as acting managing director of Linden Homes’ western division impressed the judges.
Comedian Tom Allen hosted the event at The InterContinental The O2 which was attended by more than 500 guests.
Hill was declared Medium housebuilder of the year for the second consecutive year and was also joint winner of the hard-fought Design for three storeys or fewer award for Davenport Villas as part of its Mosaics scheme in Oxford. It was joint winner with Baker Estates which impressed with The View at Malborough, near Salcombe and also scooped the Small housebuilder of the year award alongside Quinn Homes. Canterbury-based Quinn also won the Best community initiative award for Eddington Park & Herne Bay Sports Hub, while landing the Best refurbishment project award for the Engine Sheds, Hammill Park.
