Honey receives permission for first scheme

<p>Housebuilder Honey has been granted planning permission for its first scheme since the company was founded.</p> <p><span>Honey, which was established by former Avant Homes ceo Mark Mitchell in October last year, has achieved consent for a £14 million development named Amber, featuring 50 two to four bedroom homes in the village of South Normanton, Derbyshire.</span></p><p></p> <p><span>Amber will also comprise 14 house types which, the Sheffield-based company said, combined “style, substance and sustainability” for buyers’ benefit. Prices still start from £184,950 for a two-bedroom mid-terrace house.</span></p><p></p> <p><span>Honey said that work had commenced on the scheme; the first residents are expected to move in next March. The housebuilder said that under the scheme it was also making a </span><span>£160,000 contribution to initiatives to “benefit the local community”.</span></p><p></p> <p><span>Upon its launch, Honey said that it had analysed insights and trends to create its house type designs to meet the needs of today’s new home buyers. This includes the flexible use of all living spaces. Standard features in its developments include bifold doors, individually designed kitchens and boutique style bathrooms.
