Housebuilder Honey, led by ex-Avant ceo Mark Mitchell, has opened its 5,000 sq ft office in Leeds and announced five senior appointments to support its expansion plans in Yorkshire.
Two of the new region recruits join from Avant – Ben Smith as land director and Kyle Danton who has been appointed as commercial director. Curtis Sorren, Yorkshire Honey’s newly appointed head of sales, has previously worked at Avant as well as Bellway and Barratt (now merged with Redrow).
Simon Hogg is Yorkshire Honey’s construction director. Joining from Keepmoat Homes, he has more than 36 years’ experience and will direct the delivery of the region’s new build homes.
Wayne Moses has been hired as head of technical, joining from property developer and investor Artisan Real Estate.
Sheffield-headquartered Honey announced the launch of its two regional offices, Honey Yorkshire and Honey Central in Sheffield earlier this year, following the appointment of Chris Coley - also ex-Avant - as managing director of both regions. Honey Central is based out of the housebuilder’s existing premises on Ecclesall Road.
